Generative AI for Industrial Cybersecurity

Radiflow and CyCraft partner to deploy new industrial cybersecurity technologies that uses generative AI to contain network breaches and stop repeat attacks.

Radiflow, creator of the Ciara OT (operations technology) cybersecurity platform, and CyCraft, a supplier of generative AI (artificial intelligence) detection, investigation and response technologies for nation-state-sponsored advanced persistent threats, have developed a strategic partnership to supply cybersecurity technologies that reportedly deliver “unlimited detection and response capabilities” to protect “against increasingly sophisticated attacks targeting OT assets.”

According to Radiflow and CyCraft, one the biggest cybersecurity issues for asset intensive industries is that the network devices in industrial companies are often outdated and often left exposed because these devices cannot be taken offline for critical upgrades or security patches. The companies note that this leaves many industrial companies’ assets “exposed to a range of threats including both zero-day and publicly known attacks. Many of these intrusions can be traced back to theft of credentials or other network penetration techniques that result in a significant loss of data or ransomware that leads to a total lockout.”

The partnership between Radiflow and CyCraft involves extended network monitoring to the endpoints, leveraging CyCraft’s advanced threat hunting and investigation capabilities to contain breaches in real time and stop repeat attacks. The companies say their technology integration approach provides end users with a “single pane of glass” to visualize network security data without third-party integrations, which can often “add friction to deployment and operation.”

Radiflow’s work with CyCraft includes the company’s integrations with Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks' firewalls, as well as the Cisco ICE Network Access Control.

“We are seeing behind-the-scenes regulatory breach investigations demand evidence-backed incident response in minutes, not days,” said Chris Chen, CyCraft’s chief commercial officer. “As an industry, it is unacceptable to carry on from detect to response without knowing the root cause in real-time. Adversaries will expect cyber defenders to be ill-prepared and ill-equipped to stop attacks.”

“Combining our iSID with CyCraft tools addresses the challenges of securing OT networks against the evolving attacks while ensuring that the deployment of such solutions can be done in a smooth manner,” added Ilan Barda, co-founder and CEO of Radiflow.
